It’s the Weekend!

Shoe Organizer

1.  I rarely buy furniture new, but I knew I would probably never find something like this used.  It’s a shoe organizer I bought off of Amazon (here) and it is seriously the best thing ever.  It holds 20-30 pairs of shoes and is very slim.  We needed something to keep our shoes off the floor in case any little critters decide to sneak in the house and this is perfect!  AND apparently Amazon has a ‘used’ category.  I was a little hesitant that it would be damaged, but it was only the box that had a couple of tears.  I saved $30…score.

Flat Tire Indicator

2.  My flat tire indicator was on in my van when I went to run errands…not impressed.  Thankfully I didn’t need to make a mad dash to the hospital or anything.

Hole in Wall

3.  I guess you could say I’m nesting.  I decided to rip down 2 towel racks and the toilet paper holder in our master bathroom and move them to the kids’ bath.  These giant dime-sized holes were left behind.  Lots of patching and painting now.

Reese's Puffs Cereal

4.  These are amazing.  I’ve had them before, but had a real craving for them this week.  I eat them straight out of the box and they taste just like a scotcheroo bar to me.

Boy with a Baby

5.  If you’re a little brother to a big sister, you will most likely wear barrettes in your hair and carry around a doll.  He’ll be a good daddy when he grows up ;)

It’s the Weekend!

Mission Desk

1.  I got this mission desk for my birthday last year and found the perfect spot in Allison’s room for it.  She’s so excited to get her learn on :-)

Gas Mileage

2.  Had to fill gas before heading into “the big city” on Tuesday for my doctor’s appointment and this was my mileage when I got there.  The hubby rags on me for not getting good mileage, so I had to take a pic to prove him otherwise.  It may or may not have been downhill almost the entire way there.

Water

3.  Got this water cup on the clearance rack for $2 and the kids are obsessed.  They are like water ninjas that go in for the steal.  I can’t drink it after they do…kids produce “floaties” in water…gross.

Mac N Cheese

4.  He woke up at 7:50am on Thursday while I was on the treadmill and says, “Eat!  Eat!”  I made him wait for 10 minutes while I finished my walk (teaches kids patience, right?) and then asked if he wanted Cheerios.  Nope, he says, “Nu Nu!” and brings me a box of mac n’ cheese.  So, that’s what he shall have at 8 o’clock in the morning.

Smores Brownies

5.  We had a play date yesterday and after they left, the kids got naked and requested to eat the plate of smores brownies my friend left.  I’d like to pat myself on the back for teaching them such good table manners…after all, they did wait until the guests left to strip down and shove their faces full of ooey gooey goodness.

High Five For Friday!  Linking up with Lauren Elizabeth.  How was your week?

Things About Me

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and I really haven’t had the ambition to do any cooking/baking/crafting, so no related posts on those items.  Here’s what I’m currently thinking:

  1. I am down to 3 shirts that I can wear without my baby belly hanging out.  I’m almost at the end of this journey and refuse to spend money on more maternity clothes. Oh, and I wear the same kind of pants all of the time.  Looking forward to expanding my wardrobe soon.
  2. You’d think I would have no appetite with how much room this baby is taking up. You’d be wrong.  Although, I’ve put on less weight with this baby than with the first two.  Woot.  (I give kudos to the kiddos…chasing them is a full-time workout.)
  3. If I didn’t have 2 other kiddos to take care of, I’d probably just make sure the couch doesn’t float away.  Laying down is seriously the only way I can be comfortable.
  4. I often ponder what/who this baby will look like.  I wondered this with the first two, but even more so with this one since we don’t know the gender.
  5. I don’t know if I’ve nested yet.  I’ve organized the house quite a bit, but that’s because we moved.  I have yet to get a single thing ready for this baby.  Sigh…Looking forward to my mom visiting so she can help me.  She’s always a big help.
  6. I wonder if I’ll make it to the hospital in time for this one.  We’re quite far away from the hospital now.  As long as I don’t deliver on the interstate, I’ll be fine.  I have no desire to end up on the news.
  7. I can’t wait to start running again.
  8. I can’t wait to have a baby in the house again.
  9. I can’t wait to get into my van without having to worry if my bump is going to hit something.
  10. I can’t wait to decide on a name.  Nope, still haven’t done that.  I wouldn’t even say we’ve “talked” about it.  More like “mentioned” it in passing.  Let’s just hope it’ll come to us after we meet the little one :)

There ya have it…almost 38 weeks baked.  I still have “good” days, so I’m pretty sure I won’t be going in this week.  Now I just hope for a smooth, normal delivery…just like the other two.  Although, we could cut some time off the laboring part.
