Happy Friday Eve everyone! I’ll just get right into it. I’m a tad excited to show my laundry room makeover – yippeeeeeeeeee!
We moved into our current home almost three years ago and this was the status of our laundry room. Obviously, we added a washer/dryer since then, but not much else had changed. Then, last September, I bought a gallon of paint to get started on the makeover. It sat there on the floor for 7 months before I finally got around to painting it last month. What can I say? I get this done real quick around here! ;-) Are you ready to see the makeover?
Tada! Ain’t it perdy? I could’ve posted pics about 2 weeks ago, but I didn’t have a green wreath for the wall yet.
There’s the wreath. See…you wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if I didn’t have the wreath. Ok, I’ll stop talking and let you enjoy some pics. :-)
I made this sign five years ago and had it hanging at our previous house. I still like it.
We just bought raw wood and I added a coat of Minwax walnut stain and then some finishing wax to polish it up a bit. I just love all of the knots and grain in the wood and really think the dark board contrasts nicely with all of the white in the room.
My hubby is awesome. He framed that window for me. It wasn’t the first time he’s done this. He had practice on the master bathroom window (here). It looks a billion times better now. You think he’d mind if I asked him to frame all of our windows? Just kidding. I want to stay married, duh.
This is a clothing valet. I think that’s what it’s called. It comes in so handy when I have to hang clothes to dry or ones that need ironing.
Those are dryer balls, in case you were wondering. Use them instead of dryer sheets. Save the planet. Save yourself. Or something like that.
Every laundry room should have a darling chandy, no?
We will put new flooring in here before we die someday. But, for now, a rug does just fine.
I got those cabinets at a garage sale for $25. I’m cheap thrifty like that.
So, if you’re looking for me, I’ll probably be in here eating Heath bars and drinking red wine folding laundry all of the time now. Because, let’s face it, pretty rooms make us happy. Or, at least they do me. ;-)
