So, this is how I started off by trying to decorate for my son’s 2nd birthday. This used to be a vase that housed granola bars and apparently gum from what I see. I am super clumsy when I’m not preggo and even worse (if you can imagine) when I am. It took almost an hour to clean up this disaster. We all made it out alive and no one got cut – thank the Lord.
The Little Man loves Thomas the Train. Anytime he sees something Thomas, he yells “Choo Choo!”. Adorable really.
Little Miss was super excited to help me decorate. She’s all about the streamers and doing everything herself. So proud of her :)
We did the webcam with Aunt Lacey and cousins Caitlyn and Logan. He got a giftcard, which was already put to good use for some toys he picked out. Thank you Uncle Craig and Aunt Lacey for the present!
This doesn’t even look like my little guy…growing up way too fast :( The baby fat and chubby cheeks are fading too quickly.
They dress themselves everyday and just happen to coordinate outfits. I am so lucky to be their mommy…such sweet beans.
This is Peanut, our cat. She will be 9 years old in October. She rarely makes the cut because she hides from Little Man. He’s a little too rough on her. I think he needs a dog. Not really because I would end up taking care of it. Mama has plenty of other things to do.
Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for the Dream Lite. He LOVES it! Of course, his sister says, “I think he wanted a unicorn.” I’m sure he did honey…I’m sure he did.
He has to do EVERYTHING by himself. He’s so self-sufficient and I am just so dang proud of how smart he is.
Popping bubbles from the mower.
Finally, his very own camera! He fights to get a hold of his sister’s.
We were waaaaaaaaaaaaay to busy this year for me to make a cake (sorry buddy!). The cake tasted alright, but it looked great. We barely made a dent in it, so I cut it up into individual pieces and froze it. (I may or may not be eating a piece as I type.)
He absolutely loves this toy. Trains are his thing and a huge crane that picks them up is even better. I give credit to the hubby for scoring this deal several months ago.
Thank you Grandma Bev for the card and gift of money :)
Seriously, he’s 2 already?!
I’m ignoring the fact that the counter behind him looks like a tornado ripped through my kitchen. Focusing on the cuteness of my Little man instead :)
Growing up, I was never allowed to touch the cake. Probably because we had tons of people over and I’m sure germs might have been a concern (just guessing). We live a long ways away from family, so it’s just us for parties for now. I say, “Let them eat cake!” Dig in it, eat just the frosting, whatever pleases them. It’s a birthday and I want them to have fun. Don’t worry, when we start to have other people at our parties, this will not occur ;-)
The day after Little Man’s birthday, we went out to Peter Piper Pizza. If you’ve never been, it’s just like Chucky Cheese. It’s full of pizza, kids, toys and germs. Just what every kids wants. The pizza is actually pretty good too. It’s kind of a tradition that we go there on each kids’ birthday.
We bought tokens for the games, but of course all the kids want to do is play on the slide. It’s free. Go figure.
He’s definitely into any type of sport with a ball. The kid has a great throw too.
They have a crane game where you can win these balls. It’s $1 each play and daddy won 3 of them. I won the other one…I NEVER win at those things, but this machine was pretty much no fail. The kids have a blast with these and continue to play with them daily.
I hope you had a wonderful birthday Liam. We love you to the moon and back! God truly blessed me when he gave me a son like you. I am blessed to be called your mommy and hope you will always be my Little Man. I’ve enjoyed watching you be a little brother and can’t wait to see you as a big brother in a month!
Thank you so very much for the beautiful pictures, Lisa! It looks like Liam had a very wonderful and fun 2nd birthday and a great time was had by all. Looking back, you will have all these wonderful memories of all of your children. Both of you are WONDERFUL parents!
