Here is my handsome little man who tries to pose like his sister. I could just eat him up. He’s definitely gonna be a ham when he goes to school.
She no longer lets me get smiley pics, but instead has to act like a monkey. I LOVE that she has developed a little personality and finds fun in humorous moments. She fits right in ;)
This was the first year our kids have experienced sparklers. I was a little nervous with Kid #2, since he isn’t even two yet, but daddy was the safety monitor and all went well.
Here is Miss Allison enjoying her sparkler fun. They were both amazed by the fire and couldn’t take their eyes off it.
I caught her on the phone with Grandpa :-)
Meanwhile, her brother took matters into his own hands and decided to make bubbles in the water table.
We started the weekend with a scrumptious breakfast of pancakes, ham and blackberries. So yummy!
The kids and I were part of a summer reading program at the local library and we all finished our required reading, so we decided to cash in our reading rewards and get prizes. Afterwards, we stuck around to check out more books, put together puzzles and take advantage of their art station.
My creative little lefty :-)
“Hi Mom! Are you in there?!”
She was smiling so cute and as soon as I tried to take her pic….she does this. I can’t stop laughing at this photo. It cracks me up.
Normally, I do my errands during the week days, but we ran out of several things that couldn’t wait and jetted to Target on Sunday. I don’t remember the last time we went as an entire family. The hubby took the kids to the toys while I got the things on my list. Man alive…that’s the way to do it! Kid free = find more deals! The “Clearance Gods” must have been on my side because I scored all of this stuff for under $20…closer to $15 to be exact :-) Now, we’re definitely on a strict budget (even stricter since we’re moving and all), but it’s really hard to pass up great deals like this. I definitely needed a lampshade for a lamp that has been shade-less and sitting in the garage for over a year. The other stuff will be great for organizing the new house. I’m telling you, the prices were better than Goodwill prices and the stuff is brand spankin’ new.
I also found these on the clearance rack, but at CVS. Since we don’t know what we’re having, I had to buy both. We always put a balloon outside our house once we bring home a new baby. This time the new baby will be brought to our new house. It will be different, but I’m so thankful we will be moved in before the baby arrives. No matter where we move, if my family is with me, it will always be home :-)
How was your weekend?
